Facebook Group Code of Conduct

The Harvard Pops Alumni Network Facebook group is intended to celebrate the Harvard Pops Orchestra and serve as a venue for its alumni to keep in touch with one another and stay up to date on Orchestra activity. To this end, we want the group to be a fun and welcoming forum for alumni of every era and inclination.
With this in mind, please be judicious in the material you post to the group's discussion board. Acceptable material includes, but is not limited to:
- Information on Orchestra or Alumni Network activities
- Announcements for events hosted by the Orchestra or Alumni Network
- Invitations to informal get-togethers in which all alumni are welcome to participate
- "Field reports" or video footage from Orchestra concerts or Alumni Network events
- Memories, photos, or videos from Pops history
- Links to outside material or event information that would be of particular interest to the Pops alumni community
Please do not use the discussion board for debates about the policies, activities, or leadership of the Orchestra or the Alumni Network. Such discussion should be conducted through official Network channels such as open Board meetings or emails to popsalumni@post.harvard.edu. Comments that question or undermine the authority of the Orchestra to manage its own affairs are not permitted.
Members are expected to treat one another with courtesy and respect. Please refrain from posting comments or other material that would make any member of the group feel unwelcome. In particular, comments that discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religion are not allowed. Harassment or intimidation of any kind, whether on the public discussion board or in private communication, will not be tolerated.
The administrators reserve the right to remove posts from the discussion board that violate this Code. In addition, any member of the group who violates the Code may be subject to disciplinary action. Depending on the severity of the offense, this may include temporary or permanent removal from the Facebook group or the Harvard Pops Alumni Network.
If you observe any behavior or posted material that you feel is in violation of these policies, please report it to popsalumni@post.harvard.edu or to any of the groups administrators. Please also feel free to contact us if you have questions or concerns regarding these policies.
